Summer School + Road Trip, Part 1
UPDATE: Part 1 video is up!
In order to maximize our summer weekends, Thomas and I will be doing a series of fun yet educational road trips (he'll have homework too). Our first adventure of the season took us to the Windy City and the Museum of Science and Industry. Photos and Videos (Part 1, Part 2) were taken and much fun was had by all. We're staying at the Talbott Hotel which is one of our favorites due to it's quality of accomodations and service as well as it's excellent location in Chicago. Tonight we dined at Merlo on Maple, a family owned norther Italian restaraunt that was simply awesome. I not only had some of the best calamari and pork medallions there but also had a dessert I thought was only available at the exclusive Fort-Knight kitchen; vanilla spumoni with a shot of Kentucky bourbon.
I guess Chicago really does have it all.

Great idea.
Sounds like a lot of fun. So when are you going to have the educational weekend trip out to Seattle?
You can't get much more educational than the Gateway to the West! Go west, young man (and his old man,) go west. Free zoo that is a nation top, the Magic House, the Arch, Botanical Gardens, Six Flags, the Sculpture Park...St. Louis is chock full of possibility!
hey! where you at??!! Been waiting to hear about the crazy workstation you bought in kentucky.
