It's all about me...

Old Cars and New Friends
First, for all those playing at home, the car is up to 400+ miles post repairs.
Recommendations for a new car are still being accepted through the end of the year. (thank you Jarod for your early take)
Second, I'm posting a more recent photo of me sans beard. Thomas took the picture and I think it's a great photo (compostion, etc. not the subject!) let alone one from an 8 year old!
I've recenlty gotten in touch with an old friend from high school and I've made a new friend as well. I think the symmetry that life can provide at times is very interesting. I also think that the Maker can have a bit of a hand in things too.
Technology and Pix
Aside from del.icio.us being bought by Yahoo, the latest thing to catch my eye is this site. It's fun AND useful. You'll have to trust me on the useful part. Here's a link to something I created there. Ok, its not useful but it was fun and quick to do. The photo, by the way, was taken by me in San Francisco. It's the helm of the C.A. Thayer. I also happened to have just uploaded a bunch of shots of her to my Flickr account as well.
Movies
I've recently seen Pride and Prejudice. In short, a beautiful film with a solid cast, delivering surprising performances. This should quiet some of Kiera Knightly's critics (except about Domino. That movie will haunt her). Though not as good as the BBC miniseries, nonetheless it is worth the full price of admission. I will buy this one.
Chronicle's of Narnia. I loved it. I believe it to be an instant classic. The young cast was excellent and needless to say the LOTR special effects crew haven't lost their edge. Again, another DVD for the collection.
Las Vegas, Redux?
I may be heading to Vegas during the first week of January, 2006 for The Consumer Electronics Show. I'll keep folks posted so that those there, can meet up for a spell. May I recommend Nine Fine Irishmen at New York, New York?
Let it Snow
There's a foot of snow in my front yard and a THANK YOU to whomever plowed my driveway for me! It does indeed feel a bit like Christmas now. May I recommend this CD, Baby It's Cold Outside, to help get the season going. The Charlie Brown Christmas is just required around here too.

I recommend the car my wife has. Mazda 6s. Fun, sporty, with a surprising amount of room. Sorry I quit at BF2. My connection died one too many times and I decided it was time to actually spend time with said wife.

I second the recommendation on the Mazda 6. You also can get a discount on it :) I have had the car for over a year and no problems and great gas mileage. Convince Reverend to take me to Vegas and I'll be your friend for life.

All I'm saying...

I loved Narnia as well. Saw it with my godchild last Saturday. It even survived the translation into German.

John, all the Best, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
