I just confirmed with the Solar Terrestrial Activity Report that there has indeed been quite a bit of solar activity which explains WHY I WENT CRAZY looking up at the Michigan sky around 10pm local time. I was looking at the Northern Lights! I tried to capture some video and images but my photographic equipment isn't suited for such tasks. The good news is that due to other coronial ejections the increase in aurora activity will last through tomorrow.
