Congratulations to the Chinese

China has once again sent astronauts into space and has returned them safely.
Oh, and for anyone not paying attention... welcome to the Second Space Race and by the looks of it we are right where we were at the beginning of the last one. Just to be clear, the shuttle fleet gets retire in 2010 and we won't have our own orbital capability for a few years after than.

Another first! Falcon 1 Goes Into Orbit!

Congratulations to the SpaceX team with the successful launch of Falcon 1. What's so special? A completely privately designed, built and launched orbital vehicle. Key words: private and orbital.

Sunrise in Coralville, Iowa

Sunrise from Coralville, Iowa. Beautiful weather this morning. Took this with my telephoto, the tree line (and mall) are right beneath the lowest clouds. I'll be traveling on and off for the rest of the year and plan on taking more sunrise photos. With Thomas getting up earlier for Jr. High.. I get a few more week days with Sunrises.

Thomas, Kevin, and Max

Last weekend my brother Kevin and newphew Max came over from the Land of the Cleves to visit. Here they are on the Bluff in St Joe.

For the record Max and Thomas beat the Brother Knight a gazillion to 2 in Halo. Also for the record I was recovering from a slight cold.
That's all I'm saying...

Nature Pix

I've been taking more nature shots with my camera lately.
Here's a few:

Flickr and Picasa are giving my trouble.. so only a few have made it up to the Internets so far. As I've been taking my camera with me just about every where I go, I've been able to capture a few things... only problem is my photography is so bad... well every photo is an opportunity to learn and improve. So, enjoy.

Alive and Doing Fine

Haven't written anything in a while... so... here's a quick update:
I have a new role at work. But I can't talk much about it because it's not 100% wrapped up.
I've been taking a lot of photos lately (but haven't been uploading them..so no links).

I've been working around the house on a few projects (but no photos... so no links).

I've been... well busy.

Doing fine for those following my adventure.

Best Wishes and Cheers!
